Flow Forging

What is ‘Flow Forging’ ?

Flow forging is where a single piece of alloy is produced specifically for the flow forming process.

This piece of alloy is secured into a rotating lathe over a barrel mold. Then extreme, constant heat and pressure is applied. This allows for the wheels barrel to be pressed and stretched to the desired width using roller arms spinning at high speeds to mold the barrel into shape. This process compresses the aluminium increasing the strength of the wheel, making it considerably more durable than a cast wheel.

Achieving the final product which is a, high quality, strong, lightweight wheel, whilst increasing structural integrity.
